Butyl Sealant
For the Manufacture of Insulating Glass (IGU) (Double Glazing)
Model Number MF-DJ910

INTRODUCTION

MF-DJ910 is one component, solvent free, non-fogging, permanently plastic butyl sealant based on polyisobutylene (PIB) which do not cure. It can keep its plasticity and sealing characteristics in wide temperature range and meanwhile, it will not become harden or break up. It has excellent adhesion to many materials such as glass, aluminum, galvanized steel and stainless steel. It will compose an excellent anti-humidity system with elastic sealant due to its extremely vapor penetrability.

APPLICATION

This poly-isobutylene based sealant is widely used for the primary sealing of double glazing. The insulating glass made by this product comply standard GB/T 11944-2002.

APPLICATION METHODS

The surface must be clean, dry and free of grease. MF-DJ910 can be applied by butyl extruding machine (extruder) of special hot melt butyl sealant of IG production line. Its concrete condition can be achieved by adjusting temperature and pressure. The preferred range of temperature is 100℃ to 150℃. The operating environment temperature is recommended not to be lower than 10℃.
